6 Things I Love Right Now

Besides autumn, Jesus, Logan and Valentine, here are the things I love right now ::

L’Oreal BB Cream

BB Cream is an interesting animal: part tinted moisturizer, part SPF, part nutrient-rich cream, this is makeup that’s actually good for your skin. It provides very light coverage, but does a wonderful job evening skin tone and helping blotches disappear. I get the anti-redness version (because my entire face is red all the time), but you can also just get BB Cream to match your skin tone, much like a foundation. I like L’Oreal’s BB Cream because it feels silky smooth going on, but has a beautiful matte finish. I hardly wear any makeup, so this feels like just the right amount of cover for me.

Ever since Valentine was born, I’ve exercised much less than usual. There are several difference reasons, but in the past month I’ve had a renewed zeal for working out. I’ve started running again, but what I’ve really enjoyed is beginning a yoga practice once more. Most workouts leave me feeling exhausted and a little queasy, but yoga always feels good afterward, like I’ve just had a massage or a hot bath. It’s such an amazing form of exercise.

R.C. Essential Oil Blend

This blend from Young Living essential oils has been such a life saver recently. Containing (among other things) 3 difference forms of eucalyptus, R.C. helps with respiratory issues and congestion. When I was in Memphis with Logan’s family, we all passed around a nasty cough and cold, and also began passing around my bottle of R.C. It’s safe for children and strong enough for adults, and just one drop on the chest and back would supply relief. Sometimes I’d just rub a drop on my palms and hold it in front of my nose for 30 seconds or so. My nasal passages would clear almost immediately, and then I could feel my lungs opening up and the fuzziness in my head start to clear. It was pretty amazing.

Roast Chicken

Oh my word. You guys. This roast chicken is perfection. It’s the best chicken I’ve ever put in my mouth and I make it in my own oven! The trick is a high heat without ever opening the oven, which creates a gorgeous crispy crust on the chicken, sealing in all the juices and producing the most moist and decadent meat. Just serve it with a pat of butter and a green salad and your dinner will feel so special!

Society6 Travel Mugs

I love scrolling through all the funny and quirky art at Society6, and was thrilled to see they added travel mugs to their product line. How hilarious is this Gemma Correll mug? Just how I feel when I have to leave the house before I’m finished with my morning cuppa. :)

This one is kind of hard to explain, but I just love fur right now. I found a fur collar at the thrift story the other day and I never want to take it off. It’s all at once luxurious and comfortable and chic. The perfect addition to my winter wardrobe.

What about you? What are some things that you love right now?
