Drinking water

:: This is French Women Week, and all we’re talking about is skin care and lingerie, the two things French women spend all their money one ::

We’ve already mentioned how important moisture is for our skin, but lotion isn’t the only way to moisturize. French women are known for drinking lots of water every day and saying that it’s the reason their skin is so beautiful. The rule-of-thumb is to drink eight glasses of water a day, which is actually kind of hard to attain unless you measure it out. I think that it’s deceptively easy to think you’re drinking more water than you actually are. One simple way of making sure you drink enough water every day is to fill a couple water bottles at the beginning of the day and not go to sleep until they’re empty.

Also, while I was in San Francisco, the house I was staying in had a Brita water filter and that water was delicious! One time, my little nephew Owen set down his glass of water and said, “It’s weird drinking this water because it tastes just like a water bottle.” :) Once we’ve used up all of our own filters, I’m definitely switching to Brita.

What about you? How do you make sure you’re getting enough water every day? Do you notice a difference in your skin tone if you’re fully hydrated?
