Extra Virgin :: Coming Soon!

First, I just want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for your enormous support of the Extra Virgin posts. I was filled with so much trepidation when I first started writing about sex here on the blog, but your comments, letters, emails, and talks have shown me what an important conversation this is for all of us! Your support and encouragement have truly meant so much to me.

And now I’d like to give you an update on the larger Extra Virgin project. As you may already know, I have spent the last couple years writing a book full of simple, helpful tips on sex and sexuality for young Christian women. I’ve gathered lots of expert opinions, as well as dozens of interviews with everyday women sharing what worked, what didn’t work, and what they wish they would’ve known. The time has finally arrived to publish!

After some research and conversations with other authors, I decided to self-publish my book. I’ve found an incredible publisher who will handle all the publishing and distribution for the book and I’m so excited to see this dream become a reality.

The next bit of exciting news is that I will be launching a Kickstarter campaign in the next few months! I’d love for this book to have a killer cover, as well as a marketing plan that will get this book into as many hands as possible. I’ll definitely need help for this to happen and I think it will be so inspiring to partner with other people to bring this book to fruition.

If you’re interested in helping, we have some super simple, easy ways to get involved. Shoot me an email at aannagreer(at)gmail(dot)com and we can talk about ways you can help once the Kickstarter launches.

Today Valentine left for Iowa to spend a week with my parents so that I can hunker down and really get cracking on all this. There’s a to-do list a mile long, I’m nervous and terrified, but I’m more sure than ever that this book is needed and wanted by so many women out there. I can’t wait to get it to them and to all start talking together about what it means to glorify God with our sexuality.

Love, Aanna
