Workout Inspiration

I am blown away by the response that the May Summer Shape Up has received and beyond excited to have such an enthusiastic, committed group of ladies to do this with!

After seeing the flurry of Summer Shape Up activity yesterday, my grandmother sent me this message ::

Read a story years ago about Jane Fonda…she only had one month to get in shape for something important…she really applied herself and was so surprised at what one month can do that she launched a whole new career on workouts…and the rest is history…hang in there, young ladies…

Isn’t this inspiring? One month really can make a difference!

Also, here are some words of encouragement from Abby, our fearless leader ::

EVERYONE has to start somewhere, and SERIOUSLY, if you or anyone beginning the program can only complete the workouts 2 times through, that IS AWESOME! You WILL build your way up to it! Besides, somedays you simply have less in you for a hard workout…don’t sweat it. I highly encourage people to listen to their bodies, which includes knowing the difference between an off day and true laziness :)

So many of you have already found creative ways to customize these workouts to your lifestyle and to the interruptions that inevitably happen. I love this! Whatever it takes to get yourself moving each day. :)

Keep up the good work!

P.S. Isn’t it awesome that the weather cooled down in time for our outdoor run today? My friend Maria is visiting me today and we’re going to break out the jogging strollers and do the workout together. Can’t wait!

P.S.S. Some of the exercise links that I had found weren’t very helpful, so Abby found links with better descriptions for us. Hopefully this helps!
